About Charlie
Meet Charlie, a 2-year-old Dogo Argentino with a gentle spirit shaped by resilience. Charlie was found in a rough part of Miami after years of being bred, discarded, and left with wounds. Despite her tough past, she’s proven nothing but sweetness and openness to care. Her first days in safety showed her shyness and uncertainty, but Charlie never once acted out—she simply needed time and patience. Now, Charlie thrives on affection, following her people from room to room and curling up as close as possible. Her energy is moderate: she adores short walks and often bursts into evening zoomies, but she’s just as happy lounging on the sofa all day. Calm and loyal, Charlie rarely barks and prefers gentle introductions when meeting new people. Once she warms up, her silly side will win you over. Charlie knows her basic commands and is learning good house manners. She lives peaceably with six free-roaming cats, sharing toys and even convincing them to snuggle. She’s been friendly with other dogs, too—playful and gentle as long as introductions are done with care. If a loving, loyal, and cat-friendly big dog sounds like your match, Charlie may be the perfect fit. Click apply to start the adoption process.
