Petey is a 1.5-year-old male Lab mix with a whole lot of personality packed into his small stature. He may be compact, but he’s impossible to miss—thanks to the charming spot over one eye and his absolutely adorable uneven ears. Out of his puppyhood but still holding onto the best puppy traits, Petey’s love for toys is alive and well. You’ll often find him proudly trotting around with a toy in his mouth or joyfully shaking it side to side like he’s won a prize. Tug-of-war is the game in Petey’s book, and he’s always ready for a playful challenge. He does great with other dogs and can truly hang with the big dogs—literally and figuratively. Petey has a more dominant play style, so he thrives best with dog friends who complement that energy and enjoy a good, balanced play session. When playtime winds down, Petey shifts seamlessly into cuddle mode. He loves being near his people—lounging at their feet, hopping into laps, or politely (or not-so-politely) demanding pets. He’s incredibly affectionate, generous with kisses, and strikes that perfect balance between energetic and chill. Petey is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, does well with other dogs and kids, and with some guidance and clear boundaries, we think he could learn to coexist peacefully with cats too.
