About Henry

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder. Meet Henry, a short-haired white and brown tabby senior cat. He is 11 years old. Have you ever wished you could adopt a tiny grandpa who purrs, naps 18 hours a day, and always reminds you what time dinner is? Congratulations, destiny has arrived in the form of Henry, a 9-year-old gentleman with the temperament of a retired librarian and the snuggle skills of a professional weighted blanket. Henry does have diabetes but don’t worry, he’s a champ about it. He takes his insulin and daily pokes like the stoic old man he is. Honestly, he probably handles it better than most humans handle needles. His routine is simple, stable, and he’s already regulated. Henry is ideally suited to the discerning person who appreciates a calm, cozy cat over a chaos gremlin, has a lap that needs warming, and won’t mind having an adorable grandpa roommate who occasionally snores. Bonus if you enjoy early bedtimes and soft conversations! He’s gentle. He’s affectionate. He would do well with or without another cat. And most of all? He wants nothing more than to love and be showered with affection, and with great commitment to comfort. He will steal your heart and then steal the couch spot you just got up from. What Henry is looking for in a home: - He’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust. - He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment. - He needs to live indoors only. - He has a positive history with other cats and may like having a resident feline friend. - He has a positive history with the small dog in his foster home. - He has no known history with small children - He gets along with his foster mom's cat-savvy teenager. - He needs medication for diabetes - He requires a special diet for diabetes. All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in adopting Henry! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt him by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
