About Gemini

Meet Gemini, a 3 year old, 48 pound, wonderful Dalmatian who was recently rescued from a hoarding situation. He gets along well with other dogs. He is crate trained and house trained. Gemini is not yet in rescue and is in need of a foster or adopter. Please note that Gemini is blind. Dalmatians are striking, athletic dogs instantly recognizable by their unique spotted coats. These energetic, outgoing dogs were originally coach dogs that ran alongside horse-drawn carriages, and they've retained their incredible stamina and love of running. Dalmatians are dignified, smart, and full of personality.

When you adopt a Dalmatian, you're gaining a loyal, active companion who loves to run and play. They're wonderful with older children and thrive in homes where they can get plenty of exercise. Their playful, clownish side makes them entertaining family members who keep life interesting.

High humidity and hot pavement are the biggest summer hazards for NYC pets. Walk early morning or after sunset, and always carry water. The city’s concrete retains heat, so test the sidewalk with your hand before heading out.
