Hi, I'm Shadow. I'm a 31⁄2yearold, 33pound Australian Shepherd who likes to ease into new friendships. I'm quiet, observant and happiest when I can take my time deciding when to step forward. Once I feel safe, I greet my people with soft enthusiasm and a gentle tail wag that says I'm glad you're here. Favorite Things: Shadow enjoys cozy blankets, calm spaces and the freedom to relax without pressure. He's not much of a toy fan and prefers doing his own thing, but once he's comfortable, he settles nearby with quiet contentment. Training and Manners: He is house trained with regular outdoor breaks. Shadow walks nicely on a leash, rides politely in the car and sleeps in his dog bed at night. He's still learning some basic manners, but he responds well to patient guidance. When left alone, he's trustworthy; he simply gathers a blanket or two to build the perfect nap spot. Health and Care: Shadow is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. He'll need monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He does shed, so regular brushing keeps his coat comfortable and helps him feel his best. Other Animals: He does well with dogs of all sizes. He hasn't met cats yet, but his calm nature suggests he may do fine with a slow introduction. Children: Shadow hasn't lived with kids before. He should do well with older, dogsavvy children (10+) who understand his demeanor. Ideal Home: He would do well in an apartment, condo or townhome with regular outings. Shadow thrives in a quiet, predictable home with patient people who understand shy dogs. He doesn't enjoy being approached directly, but when given space, he chooses connection on his own terms. Overall: Shadow is a gentle, introverted companion who blossoms slowly but deeply. He's independent, lowkey and easy to live with, especially for someone who appreciates a calm, observant dog.
