Melody and Harmony are 12–14 week old Shih-Poo sisters rescued from the shelter who have who transitioned seamlessly into foster life. While they share the same soft, plush coats (yes, they shed and will need regular grooming), their personalities are beautifully their own. A Day in Their World Their mornings start around 6:15–6:30am with a quick potty trip in the yard, followed by playtime in their gated kitchen “puppy zone.” Breakfast is served between 7–7:30am. By 8:00am, they’re ready for their first nap, tucked into their crates with soft dog music playing and a blanket draped over the top. They already understand “all done” as their cue for crate time. They’re up again around 11:30–12 for lunch and an hour of play, back down for afternoon naps until 3–4pm, then enjoy backyard zooms and a little sisterly roughhousing before dinner at 7:30pm. By 8:45pm they’re winding down on the couch for snuggles, followed by one last potty break and into their crates for the night. They’ve slept through the night since their first day in foster. The girls nap peacefully in their crates, enjoy a midday break, then settle back in until she returns around 4pm. They’ve also done well in a pen for several hours. For young puppies, they are wonderfully manageable. House Training Stars They know “go potty,” scratch at the back door to ask out, and cry to announce when a poop is imminent. As long as they’re taken out about every hour when awake, they’ve had zero accidents. (Potty pads, however, are considered shreddable entertainment.) Temperament: Devoted and Delightful Both Melody and Harmony adore people. They greet everyone with full-body wiggles and kisses and would happily choose human company over anything else. They are true Velcro pups—following you from room to room and happiest curled beside you. They’re playful without being wild. They’ll romp for an hour, then you’ll find them snuggled in a bed or carrying a toy twice their size into their crate for a nap. They’re teething but chew appropriately on toys and treats. No digging. Hardly any barking—just the occasional alert to a brand-new sound like a garbage truck or airplane. They’re polite and respectful with other dogs, happily coexisting with 10- and 30-pound resident pups and even doing well meeting a 70-pound pittie mix. They’re curious, friendly, and socially appropriate. Their Individual Spark Melody is the confident charmer. She seeks out attention, approaches new situations with curiosity, and leans fully into affection. She’s bright, engaged, and ready to be someone’s cheerful little shadow. Harmony is a touch more thoughtful. In new environments, she may pause and assess before jumping in—but she always joins the fun. Each day she grows braver and more curious. She has a deeply sweet, cuddly nature that is too adorable. The Bottom Line If you’re looking for a puppy who is loving without being chaotic, playful but able to settle, crate-trained, sleeping through the night, and already showing excellent house manners—Melody or Harmony may be your perfect match.
