Meet Kona! Say hello to this adorable boy - a very special rescue pup who recently joined our program here in Oregon thanks to our wonderful friends and rescue partners in San Pancho, Mexico. Kona made the journey to us on his own and is now settling into his temporary foster home, where he's receiving the love, care, and comfort he needs as he prepares for his forever family. Sweet, affectionate, and full of curiosity, Kona is already melting hearts with his gentle spirit and expressive little face. ***Foster Family Update!*** Kona is such a joy to foster!! He is getting along really well with my dogs, he's submissive, and just wants to be everyone's friend! Walks really well on a leash, is very treat motivated and we are working on basic commands, but should be easy to train! He hasn't reacted to other dogs or cars or distractions during his walks, just a happy guy on walks! He is making great progress with crate training and goes in easily now after only a week of fostering him. He does wine a bit after going into the crate, but calms down soon after.
