About Cali

Meet Cali, a 3-year-old pitty mix weighing in at 68.6 pounds. She’s making a steady recovery from both her recent spay surgery and an eye procedure, done mid-February, and has taken all the poking and prodding in stride. Right now, Cali is learning better leash skills, how to take treats gently, and to slow down during meals—a real work in progress in the best way. She generally gets along with other dogs, especially if introductions are done properly. No word yet on how she is with cats or kids. Cali ended up at the rescue after her previous owner had to make the difficult decision to surrender her because of a family health crisis and losing their home. Despite these big changes, Cali is still all heart, happy to dole out kisses and claim a spot on the couch. She does have some allergies and will need ongoing TLC as she recovers. She’s housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and handled with lots of care and love while she waits for someone who wants a dog to really bond with. Applicants must live within an hour of Fremont, OH. Give this girl the homecoming she deserves—ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
