Meet Wesley Wesley is a one-year-old American Bully mix with the most soulful amber eyes and a heart that refuses to give up. This handsome, compact boy has a sturdy build, a velvety fawn coat, and the kind of expressive face that makes you melt. He may look tough on the outside, but Wesley is pure sweetness underneath. Wesley survived gunshot trauma that left him with serious injuries to both hind legs. Instead of giving up on him, his rescue team chose full orthopedic repair to save his legs. He underwent extensive surgery, including fracture repair and hip reconstruction, and is now healing beautifully. Despite everything he endured, Wesley is incredibly affectionate. He rolls over for belly rubs, leans into his people, and soaks up attention. He loves being outside, lounging in the sun, and calmly observing the world around him. His temperament is gentle, trusting, and people-focused. Because of his recent surgeries, Wesley will need a committed adopter who understands controlled exercise and continued healing. With proper care and follow-up, his prognosis is very good — and his spirit is already strong.
