Looking for a loving, sweet, active dog, then Foxy Roxy, a 2-year-old Dachshund mix, is your gal. At 38 pounds, Foxy greets everyone she meets with not only a wagging tail, but also a wiggly butt, including the mailman. Her favorite activities include playing with her squeaky toys and balls, exploring, running and chasing balls in the backyard and, of course, snuggling with her foster parents while seeking belly rubs. She's housebroken, leash trained and is learning to heel, and knows basic commands. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She likes car rides. We don't know her history with dogs and cats. She'd likely do better with older children due to her activity level. A 4-feet fenced yard is a must. She's spayed, up-to-date on her shots and is heart-worm negative. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Foxy Roxy’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
