Meet Artemis -- Beautiful Manx Looking for a Calm, Patient Home This stunning young Manx girl was born naturally tailless (both of her parents were also tailless) and has gorgeous snowshoe-style markings. She was just recently spayed and will be brought up to date on veterinary care. She is a sensitive, high-alert kitty who appears to be overwhelmed in her current busy household. With multiple children, frequent activity, and a lot of coming and going, she has struggled with anxiety-related behaviors, including inappropriate elimination outside the litter box. When crated in a quiet space, she does use her litter box appropriately. In calmer moments -- especially in the evenings when the home is quiet -- she will approach for affection, sit on the couch with her people, and even enjoy gentle petting. She does not like being picked up for long and prefers affection on her own terms. She can be handled for nail trims with patience. She has lived with other cats and a calm dog. She enjoys cuddling with an older male cat and coexists well with a respectful dog. She would likely do best in a quiet home without small children and with experienced cat guardians who understand shy or anxious personalities. She enjoys toys, cat trees, and lounging in peaceful spaces. With time, patience, and a lower-stress environment, we believe she has the potential to blossom.
