Casey is the kind of cat who makes a house feel like home. She may get out of bed to be the first to greet you when you walk into a room, as if to say, "I'm glad you're here." She's a natural companion, and is often a head-butter and face-nuzzler. She will often follow her people from room to room, wanting to be part of whatever they're doing. When a good feather chase is involved, Casey shows off her playful side with enthusiasm. And when the fun winds down, she is perfectly content to settle nearby, sitting close just to be near you, soaking up your presence without demanding constant attention. She has been in foster care since October and transitioned from the streets with grace, but she is still learning to trust a bit. She has a cute way of seeking out petting but may shy away a little when she gets petted. She is not a lap sitter yet, but may be headed that way. Casey would be a good match for someone looking for a loyal feline friend who truly enjoys human company. She has co-habitated fine with other familiar cats but may be initially territorial with a new cat. Shelter Adoption Hours: Tuesday & Saturday: 11:00am until 4:00pm.
