At just one year old (as of February 2026), Richard is still very much a kitten at heart. This handsome young boy may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a moment and you’ll see his true personality shine through. Once he knows he’s safe, Richard leans right into your hand for pets, soaking up affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. Richard was rescued after being left behind when his previous owner moved away, along with several other indoor and outdoor cats. Despite such a confusing start, he has held onto his sweet, loving nature. He’s gentle, observant, and happiest when he’s close to someone who offers him reassurance and kind words. He would thrive in a calm home with someone patient enough to let him blossom at his own pace. And while he loves people, he especially loves the comfort his feline bestie, Cinnamon Toast, who came from the same colony, and he would love to be adopted with her.
