About Rain
Rain showed up at a home on a rainy day, starving and soaked. He was taken in and was given food and dried up. Days later he went in for surgery and he was supposed to be tnr (trap neuter return) but he ended up being the sweetest cat. A day after neuter he declined so fast he was rushed to the vet. Test were done and his kidney levels came back very high likely in kidney failure, He was hospitalized for three days with Iv fluids to hopefully get him to flush them. Two days later he was up and eating and doing well, his kidney levels were good and he came home. A month later blood work was run again and his kidney levels are back to normal range like if nothing happened. Our vet suspects something toxic was given probably by mistake that caused his kidneys to reach that toxic level. Rain will have to continue on kidney food and bloodwork done once a year. He needs a special family that will meet all his needs and is familiar with kidney failure cats, even tho his levels are back he still needs to be on the kidney failure protocol. He is the sweetest boy ever and deserves a happy ending.
