About Heidi

Heidi is a petite, spayed female Sheltie with a soft sable and white coat. At about two and a half years old, she's quiet and reserved—a bit of a wallflower who keeps to herself, especially in unfamiliar situations. Heidi comes from a background that makes her wary, so she'll need someone familiar with helping fearful or undersocialized dogs build trust. The right adopter will have experience with 'puppy mill' or nervous shelter dogs, and plenty of patience to meet her where she is. She is crate trained, seems to be housetrained, and, importantly, requires a securely fenced yard to feel safe exploring outside. All her vet work is up to date, she’s healthy, and her recent dental means no extra worries there. She gets along with other dogs but definitely needs a gentle touch and a quiet household. If you have the time and heart to help a shy girl bloom, Heidi could be your next project—with a lot of love in return. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
