Found as a stray in the Houston suburbs with his siblings, he’s now a happy, healthy, playful pup thriving in foster care. At about 28 lbs, he’s on track to grow into a 60–65 lb soft, snuggly teddy bear — the perfect size for family adventures, outdoor fun, and cozy evenings on the couch. John Luke is a sweet, sensitive boy who plays gently with his siblings and rarely barks (unless he spots the chickens — and even then, it’s pure excitement, not sass). He’s a little unsure about the dark and sleeps best with a nightlight, which only adds to his endearing, tenderhearted charm. He’s just beginning his collar and leash training and is familiar with cats and chickens. He’s curious about them, a bit cautious, and mostly just wants to play and figure out the world at his own gentle pace. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
