But it didn’t take long for her to realize we were simply here to help. Since then, she’s made wonderful progress and continues to come out of her shell more each day. Now you’ll often find her quietly following close behind, keeping a watchful eye on her people. She really wants to connect, offering soft stares, gentle tail wags, and those sweet “I’m curious about you” looks. While she can still be a little hesitant about being approached, slow and calm movements help her feel safe. And once you start petting her? She absolutely melts. The walls come down, the worries fade, and you’ll see just how affectionate and tender she truly is. She previously lived with several other dogs, so we feel she would likely do well in a home with other calm, respectful canine companions similar to her energy and temperament. She will need time to decompress and continue socializing as she adjusts to home life, but the reward will be a deeply loyal and loving companion.
