Meet Scout — the little pup with the big ears and even bigger heart. Scout is currently fostered in New Jersey. He is available for out-of-state/out-of-area adoption to the perfect forever home! Transportation to his forever home will be coordinated by our rescue. Scout is a 3–4 month old Australian Shepherd mix puppy with a sweet, playful spirit and a curious heart that’s still learning about the world. Like his sister Pippin, he’s expected to grow into a medium to large dog once fully grown. Scout didn’t have the easiest start to life, but he’s already showing just how resilient and loving he is. He’s a gentle, happy puppy who’s learning that people can be safe, kind, and fun. Every day his personality comes out a little more as he gains confidence and settles into foster life. He’s very much a puppy — playful, curious, and full of goofy baby energy. Scout loves exploring, playing, and then curling up for a well-earned nap. He can be a little unsure in new situations at first, but with patience and encouragement he warms up beautifully and becomes a cuddly, affectionate boy who just wants to be near his people. Scout would do great in a home with another friendly dog who can help build his confidence, show him the ropes, and give him a playful companion to grow up with. Like any young pup, he’s still working on potty training and puppy manners, so his future family should be ready for all the learning moments, laughs, and puppy chaos that come with raising a baby dog.
