Stewie is a 5-year-old, 15lb Chinese Crested with a tender heart and a thoughtful personality. This sweet little guy is still learning that the world - and the people in it - can be safe and kind. He's making progress every day as he builds trust at his own pace. Stewie gets along well with other dogs, especially those with calm, gentle personalities. He doesn't enjoy high-energy chaos, but a relaxed canine companion could be a wonderful match for him and help him continue gaining confidence. With people, Stewie is learning to feel secure and comfortable. He'll need a patient, understanding adopter who will allow him the time and space he needs to blossom. Once he trusts you, his quiet devotion and soft nature truly shine. At this time, Stewie does not walk on leash and will require a secure, fenced-in yard where he can safely explore and go outside. With time and positive reinforcement, he may build leash skills in the future, but for now a yard is a must. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
