About Walter
Walter and friend, Saffron (also with us), literally came knocking on the window of one of our volunteers, asking to come in from the weather. Even though they have been strays that have been TNR'd (thus the tipped ear), they both clearly want a human family and inside home of their own. Walter is a confident boy who we think will easily adapt to most situations. He is very friendly, and will body slam your legs for attention. He made himself right at home in his new foster home and did not react when the resident cat hissed his displeasure at sharing his bed! It would be amazing if Walter and Saffron could be adopted together, but it is not necessary. It seems that they have been together for their many adventures and may miss each other. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard-to-place animals. If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADOPTION FEE OF $110 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip FIV/FeLV test, any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application. Event locations vary, so please check the homepage or our FB site to find out where we will be this week. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
