Axel came into our lives here at Hilton Head Humane from Beaufort County Animal Services, and from the very beginning, we knew he was something special. Axel had heartworms but Axel faced his treatment with quiet bravery. Through treatment, rest, and lots of love, he pulled through like a champion.
