Sugar
AvailableSugar is a young, medium-sized mixed breed female with a sleek black short coat. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and house trained. Sugar is now fully healthy and lives in Hacienda Heights, CA, waiting for a family to make her a part of their lives.
About Sugar
Sugar started life with nothing but slim odds and a cardboard box for protection, left by the riverside on a freezing night with her sibling. Severe skin disease and closed eyes nearly took their chance at life, but fate sent a 75-year-old man living under the bridge to rescue them. He gave everything he had, making sure Sugar and the other puppies survived and grew stronger. Because of his devotion, she bounced back from illness to become a healthy, vibrant puppy who finds joy running alongside the bicycle path, leaving her rough start far behind. When his health declined, he made the difficult choice to place Sugar in foster care, still holding on to hope she’d find a warm and stable home. Now fully recovered, Sugar is healthy, playful, and craves human company. She’s a people-oriented dog—affectionate, sometimes shy at first, but always eager for companionship. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. Adopting isn’t about finding a flawless animal—it’s about giving a once-helpless soul the home and future they deserve. Sugar is ready for her next chapter, and she’s waiting for someone who understands patience and responsibility to step forward. Give Sugar the home she’s been hoping for and help her leave the past behind. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
