About Toulouse
In 2018, Toulouse turned up alone in an abandoned house. No one is sure what he went through or exactly how he lost both of his eyes, but his story clearly didn’t stop there. Blind from a young age, Toulouse adapted quickly—he’s smart and determined, doing things his own way and always showing up when people are near. He landed a home in 2019 and spent the next six years as a loved companion. When a child developed severe allergies, he found himself back with the rescue—through no fault of his own. Now, at 10, Toulouse is still rolling with the changes. He’s doing well in a foster home with another blind animal, a dog named Blinky, and the two have formed a quiet but close friendship. Toulouse doesn’t let sight get in the way of connection. He’s curious, resilient, and affectionate. If you can offer a soft place, he’ll bring a gentle presence and a big heart to your home.
