Squeakers “talks” with expressive squeaks, trills, and headbutts, making sure she’s a central part of her loved ones’ lives. She was born with severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a lifelong condition impacting her balance and coordination. Her intelligence and desire for affection are unaffected—Squeakers simply moves through the world in her own, uniquely wobbly way. She falls often and sometimes pulls herself along instead of walking, but with physical therapy, an adapted environment, and lots of patience, she enjoys a great quality of life. Her foster home has equipped her space for safety and comfort, and she’s in the process of being fitted for a quad cart to give her more mobility. Daily routines are a big part of Squeakers’ success: brief physical therapy sessions, supervised movement, low-entry litter boxes (one in every room), and an established bathroom schedule. She does best with consistent support—she can’t dash to the box, so guiding her is part of the day. Accidents are rare, but regular wiping and occasional baths are needed for hygiene. Pee pads or soft alternatives don’t work well for her; she needs clear boundaries to avoid confusion. Squeakers lives with other cats and enjoys gentle feline company, especially with cats who understand her unusual movements. She wants to belong and is happiest around tolerant, cat-savvy companions. Her ideal match is a patient, experienced adopter committed to creating a structured, adaptive home—not someone seeking an “easy” or “starter” special-needs pet, but someone ready for deep companionship and lots of love.
