Special needs girl! Meet Luna. She is a sweet senior girl with some vision and hearing impairment as well as being heartworm positive. She will begin her heartworm treatment soon but the Vet says her heart and lungs look good. Her eye looks bad but she is stable at the moment and requires no surgery on it. She is also on a liver supplement to assist with her liver values being better. Luna is NOT potty trained, but we are working on it. Luna's story is sad. She had a family that loved her very much and she had been with them since she was a tiny puppy. Unfortunately, her family was deported, and that left Luna all alone. We are looking for someone who is willing to adopt a special needs dog and give her a forever home. Luna is well behaved and gets along with other dogs. She is not keen on sharing her food bowl, but she is getting better about it. She loves being outside and wandering around the backyard as long as the weather is warm. More than anything else, Luna just likes being with people. Please remember that Luna is a special-needs dog. She requires a special person or family to adopt her. Prior experience with a special-needs dog would be extremely beneficial.
