Meet Queenie Queenie is a stunning 3-year-old Dogo Argentino with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She came to us through no fault of her own-her previous owner loved her but could no longer afford food or medical care, and Queenie was struggling with reactivity toward people and other animals. Since arriving at the shelter, Queenie has shown our staff just how sweet and affectionate she can be once she feels comfortable. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys attention from people she trusts, and is very treat-motivated (fair warning: she gets enthusiastic, so watch your fingers!). She knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more with the right guidance. Queenie has never lived with other dogs and does not do well with cats. While she may be able to coexist with dogs her own size, she tends to fixate on smaller dogs - meet and greet is always recommended. Queenie would do best with an experienced, confident owner who understands strong breeds and can continue working with her on positive reinforcement and boundaries. In the right home, with structure, patience, and consistency, she has the potential to truly shine
