Transport to Salem NH on March 14 with arrival on March 15 A little about Tuna- She is an exception to the usual couch potato English. Now, that being said, she does sleep through the night and LOVES her bed during the day after playtime, but I have never seen an English run after a ball the way she does. I wanted to list her as Border Collie/English Bulldog. Ha ha I am no expert, but we have fostered a handful and most have been slow moving and cuddlebugs. Tuna Girl weighed 33 lbs at her spay. She looks like an English Bulldog and not sure if there is an extra mix in there. She was lost around New Years and a friend of one of our volunteers found her. Our volunteer checked PAWBOOST and she was listed as lost. The microchip was not reported lost though. So, we contacted the owner and then returned her. The discussion we had with the owner did not sound positive or happy. We thought about it, called him back and asked if he would like to surrender her. It was a quick YES. "TOO active" he said. He has another English that IS a couch potato. She is so happy. Her foster has a large front yard fenced, and she runs after her ball with such joy. Slightly addicted I would say, but that is her thing. She sleeps the night through in her crate and during the day when we are at work. We are very open about what type of home and family that we are looking for: she runs like a bull so we would prefer no children under 4 feet tall. A fenced yard IS A MUST! She loves her people and could really care less about other dogs. (I have three.) Experience with the breed is a plus. We would love to get her out of South Florida, where there are currently 750+ dogs in our county shelter and a culture of pet owner irresponsibility.
