Shelby is Ready for Her Perfect Family Now that her puppies are off into their foster homes, it’s her turn to shine. Shelby is around a year and a half old and fully grown at 35lbs. She does great with other dogs, but she’s not really into playing, she’d rather just do her own thing. A laid back doggie friend would be more of her type. She’d rather enjoy a couch, and a bone, or playing ball, she’s that kind of girl rather than a working or high-drive shepherd. She is AMAZING with kids. And I mean amazing. Shelby stays right by their side inside and outside. She bonds deeply with children and would enjoy a home with kids — that’s where she shines the most. She’s crate trained and fully house trained. Off leash she is incredible ~ her recall is perfect, and she would never think about running off. However, she is not leash trained, so that’s something her future family will need to work on. Shelby can be mouthy — she “talks,” whines, and sometimes nips when she’s excited or trying to communicate. It’s part of her personality, but she will need someone patient who understands shepherd behaviors. Shelby is in a foster home with cars, but they aren’t her favorite — she doesn’t go after them, but she is very mouthy and may bark at them. Shelby isn’t looking for a job — she’s looking for a couch, a cuddle, and some kids to protect and love with her whole heart.
