About Cowgirl

Cowgirl is a five-month-old black and white domestic short hair kitten with severe cerebral hypoplasia, or “wobbly kitten syndrome.” Her condition is not painful, progressive, or contagious, but it does mean she can’t walk or move around like other kittens. Despite this, she’s slowly getting stronger and more coordinated. Cowgirl isn’t on any medication, but she does require physical adaptations at home—she does best on carpet where her claws can help her move. Stairs are off-limits for her safety. If you’re seeking a true lap cat, Cowgirl fits the bill. She loves to snuggle and will climb into your lap anytime you’re on the floor. She adores head pets and will nudge you to keep going. She’s playful in her own way, enjoying toys that stay nearby. Due to her slow growth, she absolutely needs wet food twice daily, plus access to water and dry food at all times. Cowgirl can manage the litter box with effort but uses pee pads if it’s out of reach, and she tolerates weekly baths for cleanup. She’d thrive in a home where someone is present most of the time (or works from home). Cowgirl gets along with friendly cats, kittens, and dogs, though they must treat her gently as she cannot escape if threatened. She hasn’t been around small children yet. Her adoption fee is fully sponsored. Cowgirl is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV/FeLV. Give her the safe, loving home she needs. They are waiting with paws crossed!
