About Brooks
Start your journey together! Apply now. Brooks is an extremely affectionate and silly boy who absolutely adores people—he has a unique way of giving hugs by putting his front paws on your shoulders and nuzzling his face right into yours. Always up for playtime, Brooks has lots of energy and a fun-loving personality. In his foster home, he's done well with the resident dog and likely would be comfortable with a calm, dog-friendly companion. He can be a bit nippy when feeling confined or overly playful, but responds well to gentle, firm guidance and redirection. His foster mom shares that Brooks is thriving with free roam of the house, getting along with both the resident cat and dog. Though he's very sweet, he may not be well-suited for homes with small children due to his playful nipping. Brooks has a natural curiosity and a tendency to dash for open doors, so adopters should use caution and be mindful of his desire to explore the outdoors—he was originally found outside and likely will need ongoing supervision to prevent door-dashing. Now that he's settled indoors, Brooks is enjoying life as a lovable and active companion. All cats with Mountain Pet Rescue are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed, and on monthly flea preventatives. The rescue provides an individualized approach—each pet is matched with a home based on their personality, not just breed. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
