Payaso
AvailablePayaso is a neutered male Siberian Husky mix with an extra-large build, currently in Novato, CA. He's an adult with a distinctive tall frame, weighing 73.8 lbs. While his coat is in recovery from a period of neglect, his vaccinations are up to date, and he's ready for a new home.
About Payaso
Payaso is one striking, extra-tall Husky/Shepherd mix who makes quite an impression from the moment you see him. He's lanky and large, looking even bigger than his 73.8 lbs suggests, and he's got that classic aloofness you sometimes see in northern breeds. This big guy came from a neglected situation, so right now his coat is stained and he's still a bit thin, but with good care that's already starting to turn around. As he settles in, new charming details keep popping up—like his two white paws. Payaso is polite with strangers, if a little distant at first, but after a short warm up he'll show his goofy, laid-back side. Once he trusts you, he's affectionate and eager to please. He’s sensitive to things like nail trims when meeting new people, but gets more relaxed once you're on his good side. He does best with folks who understand Huskies or Shepherds and are patient with dogs still learning the ropes. He’s attached to his people and stands out as a loyal companion. Socially, he was fine with a large female dog and lived peacefully with another big male before, but didn't mesh well with a small dog—so he doesn't belong in a dog park free-for-all. Instead, he'd thrive in a home where his introductions to other animals are supervised and thoughtful. Payaso is content walking, more interested in sniffing than stirring up drama. If you like running, he'll gladly join you. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's ready for his glow-up, Payaso might be the perfect fit. Adoption fee is sponsored.
