Baby Bear is a cute female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on October 2, 2025 along with her mother (Fairytale) and her three siblings (Baby Bear, Baby Boo, and We-Be-Little). This little family was found on Forshey Road in the Marietta Ohio after momma Fairytale had given birth to her kittens on September 25th .. So they were tiny frail one-week old babies when they entered our shelter. Fortunately for Baby Bear and her family, our compassionate HSOV Shelter Manager offered Fairytale and her kittens a foster home the day they arrived. Casper, Baby Bear, and Baby Boo survived and were returned to our shelter in January 2026. Sadly, kitten We-Be-Little did not survive and passed away on November 28, 2025. Baby Bear has a gray-and-beige shorthaired coat in a dilute tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and an adorable kitten face with dark golden eyes, a gray velvet nose and long white whiskers. Baby Bear was given vaccinations on December 23, 2025 and was given booster vaccines on January 6th- and January 23rd 2026. These photos were taken on February 12, 2026 when HSOV Kennel Techs Madison Lee and Hannah McClain assisted Baby Bear with her 'big girl' pictures. Baby Bear is quite the lovebug as well as a playgirl. She and loved batting tiny toy balls around and exploring new territory in our Receiving Area. Baby Bear and her brother Casper have shared a cage since returning to our shelter, and they provide comfort/security/companionship to each other. Baby Bear will be spayed in the near future (tentatively on March 9th 2026) and will soon be ready to find a home of her very own. Her brother (Casper) was neutered on February 13, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 4.8 lbs that day. Naturally we always love to see siblings adopted together, but Baby Bear and Casper are not currently listed as a bonded pair.
