Denali is a six-year-old Catahoula/Pit Bull mix whoās built like a linebacker but carries herself like royalty. At about 76 lbs, sheās sturdy, striking, and perfectly content to drape her big head across your lap when she wants affectionāwhich is often, once she trusts you. Housebroken and crate trained, sheāll alert you when nature calls and uses her crate as a quiet getaway. She handles car rides like a seasoned passenger, loves fetch, and is just as happy to pass out on the couch when playtime ends. Walking Denali takes a strong hand; sheās powerful and gets excited by interesting smells and sights. A martingale collar helps manage her pulling. She craves outdoor time and would thrive with a fenced yard, but she does fine with regular leashed exercise if thatās not possible. Socially, sheās a bit particular: slow dog introductions are a must, and she does best with bigger companions or as the only canine queen. She loves kids but, due to her size, is only recommended for homes with children 10 or older. Absolutely no cats. Denali is nervous around strangersāshe prefers to keep her circle small and her personal space respected. Multiple meet-and-greets are needed, both with resident dogs and people. She isnāt for a home thatās busy with visitors or someone looking for an instant party guest: Denali needs time to warm up, but when she does, youāll see all the silly, loving, goofy soul she holds back at first.
