About Denali
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Denali is a stunning Catahoula/Pit mix with a personality as big as her 76 lbs! At almost six years old, she is a loving, silly, and unique companion who's looking for a forever home ready to appreciate her quirks and affection. Housebroken and crate-trained, Denali alerts you when she needs to go out and will happily settle into her crate for naps or a good night's sleep. She rides well in the car and loves to be your co-pilot on adventures. Walking her requires a bit of muscle and a martingale collar, as she’s both strong and curious when something interesting catches her nose—but she redirects easily and enjoys her strolls. Her medium energy level makes her a great fit for someone who enjoys regular activity followed by downtime. Denali loves fetch, toys, lounging around the house, and especially being outside; while a fenced yard isn’t a must, time outside on leash exploring or playing is essential for her happiness. Dog introductions need to be slow and thoughtful, as Denali is dog-selective and generally prefers dogs her size or larger. She truly shines as the only pet in a home but is comfortable with children 10 and older, due to her size and playful exuberance. Cats are not a match for her. Her beautiful looks are complemented by her distinctive seasonal flank alopecia, only making her more special. In new situations, she might be reserved, but patience pays off as you’ll soon discover her silly, loving side. She’s happiest when she can plant herself in your lap or beside you for cuddles. Denali will require multiple meet-and-greets before adoption, both with resident pups and potential adopters. She takes her time warming up to new people and values her space, making her best matched for a family who respects her boundaries and isn't looking for a social butterfly. If your home is a bit quieter and you’re ready for a loyal and rewarding companion, Denali could be the perfect addition. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Denali
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Catahoula/Pit mixes tend to do well in active homes with space to move and engage in play. They thrive in environments where they get plenty of interaction and exercise, and benefit from a home that offers both indoor comfort and safe outdoor areas.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This breed mix appreciates having access to a yard or a place where they can play and release their energy. While a fenced yard is ideal, regular daily walks and frequent play sessions can also fulfill their needs if a yard isn't available.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Catahoula and Pit Bull mixes can be excellent companions for families with children, especially when raised with them and properly socialized. Due to their size and energy, interactions with smaller children should be supervised, and older kids may be a better fit.
