Hi, I'm Roo.<br/><br/>I'm a 4-year-old girl with a very sweet heart and a shy soul. I didn't have the easiest start in life, so I'm still learning what it means to be a well-mannered, confident dog in a home. The world can feel a little big and overwhelming to me sometimes, but I'm trying my best every single day.<br/><br/>Because of my past, I'll need a patient and understanding adopter who can give me plenty of time to adjust and feel safe. I may take a while to fully come out of my shell, but I promise the love I have to give is worth the wait. I might also enjoy having another doggie friend to play with and help boost my confidence!<br/><br/>I've already made a lot of progress thanks to our amazing Behavior Team who's been helping me along the way! With gentle reassurance, I walk nicely on a leash. I'm learning that treats from your hand are a good thing, and while petting can still make me a bit nervous, I tolerate it and continue to improve.<br/><br/>I'm not looking for perfection -- just a calm, kind home where I can continue learning at my own pace.
