About Rufio Spruce
Rufio Spruce is a mellow, personable gray tabby with a gentle soul. He likes his space but gravitates to his people, following them from room to room out of quiet affection. Having first appeared rather dramatically on a garage roof, Rufio has since shown that he’s easygoing and adaptable. While a bit hesitant around other cats, he’s never shown aggression and could share a home with similarly calm companions. He stands out for his kinked tail—something of a mystery, but he doesn’t seem bothered. Rufio spends most of his time calmly observing, occasionally breaking the silence with meows for one of his tea-time rituals. He enjoys feather and string toys, but is otherwise a low-key presence. He uses a top-entry litter box easily (his adopter will get a couple as a start), and his one medical quirk—the amitriptyline he takes for crystal-prone urine—has been easily managed for over a year without any recurrence. He takes his daily pill in a treat and doesn’t fuss. This cat is straightforward, unfussy, and gentle company. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and fully litter trained. Rufio will fit in best with adopters who appreciate a calm and comforting roommate. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
