Meet Scooter At just 11 months old and 64 pounds, Scooter is a big-headed, blocky, ridiculously handsome pit mix with an even bigger heart. He’s all puppy enthusiasm wrapped up in a strong, goofy body — and he’s still learning the rules of life. Scooter hasn’t always had people show up for him. He’s been let down more than once, and we’ve promised him that won’t happen again. What he needs now is a committed, patient family who will continue his training and show him that forever really means forever. ~ The good stuff: • Rings the bell to go outside • Knows “sit” • Knows “down” (about 50% of the time — he’s working on it!) • Offers both paws like a total gentleman • Crate trained • House trained • Dog friendly • Has not met a cat • Kids 8+ (he’s strong and energetic and sometimes forgets he’s not a lap dog) • Pretty good on leash with minimal reminders • Professional-level kisser Scooter is playful, affectionate, and full of life. He loves to move, loves to learn, and would thrive with someone who enjoys training and keeping an active young dog mentally and physically engaged. A fenced-in yard is a must for this energetic boy — he needs space to zoom and burn off that puppy energy. Oh, and fun fact: Scooter lines up perfectly to Metallica. (We’re not saying he’s a metalhead, but… we’re not not saying it either.)
