Available from Texas. This is Cash. He’s 5 years old and weighs about 70 pounds. Cash is a Shar Pei mix. It’s hard to say where Cash came from. He was found sitting in a busy area, trembling from the cold. He was scared, confused, and freezing — but he didn’t leave. Instead, he quietly watched people pass by, as if hoping someone might stop. His sad appearance and the sorrow in his eyes could tell a long story — a story of pain, betrayal, and mistrust. Of hunger, cold, and loneliness. Despite his longing to be loved and to belong, Cash was afraid of people. It took a special trap to catch him safely and bring him to the vet clinic. In the first few days with his foster family, Cash was wary and fearful. He tried to run, to hide. But with time, care, and the gentle love of his foster mom, his heart began to soften — and he started to trust again. Cash gets along well with other dogs. Still, his future family will need a little patience, love, and care to earn his full trust. We truly believe that the right home is out there for him. Cash, more than most, deserves to know what it feels like to belong — to be someone’s dog, a part of a family.
