Meet Letty. She’s a 6- to 7-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix who’s had a wild ride. Letty came to her current foster when her last owner couldn’t keep her, and for a couple of years she’s mostly lived in a garage with free rein of the yard. She’s spayed and is getting caught up on her vaccines. Letty has a food allergy that’s been tough for the family to manage financially, so they’re hoping she can find a more stable, comfortable home. Two years ago, she suffered a gunshot wound to her paw (a neighbor, to be specific). Her paw is healed, but it’s sensitive—she won’t let you mess with it. Despite what she’s been through, Letty is gentle, loving, likes to burrow under blankets, and adores cuddling. She gets along with most dogs and cats, and she has a soft spot for younger pups—she’ll even try to mother them. She’s been fine with visiting kids, too. Water and swimming?
