Even after that heartbreaking start, this sweet boy has held onto nothing but love in his heart. When we found Ginger, we were already fostering two other pit bulls and committed to getting them adopted one by one. Ginger has been patiently waiting his turn and now it’s finally his time to find his forever home. The vets estimated he was about a year and a half old when we rescued him, so he’s around two and a half now. He still has that happy, goofy puppy energy! Ginger is playful, silly, and full of personality. He absolutely loves toys (seriously — toys are life), enjoys playing fetch, and will happily entertain himself or bring you into the fun. He’s been living with multiple dogs, including senior dogs and our own 9-year-old, so he’s very dog-social. He gets along with everyone! Because he’s still young at heart, he sometimes forgets that not every dog wants to play as much as he does, but it’s never in a bad or aggressive way. He’s just an enthusiastic, joyful boy who loves having friends. With people, Ginger is incredibly friendly. He just wants love, attention, and to be close to his humans. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily with his goofy personality and then melt into you for affection. After everything he’s been through, Ginger deserves a family who won’t leave him behind again, one who will see the sweet, funny, big-hearted boy he is.
