About Chance The Slapper
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet Chance the Slapper, a truly remarkable orange tabby with a story of resilience and transformation. He arrived back in December 2025, earning his unique name thanks to his quick reflexes and impressive āknuckle-rappingā skills. During his first day indoors, he was overwhelmed and defensiveāquick with a lunge or a slap as he tried to adjust to a strange new world. But what looked like toughness was really just fear and confusion. All Chance needed was time. With patience and compassion, he was given the space to decompress and wore nail caps for safety as he settled in. The shift was incredible: once he felt safe, his demeanor changed completely. Now, this handsome large adult cat has traded his fear for affection, eagerly reaching out to ask for more petting (with gentle taps rather than slaps, of course!). Chance is affectionate, but he appreciates boundariesāwhen he wants space, heāll let you know, and respecting those cues makes for a happy, peaceful home. Heās ready to thrive as the only pet, where his new confidence and love for human connection can continue to grow. Fun fact: Born June 17, Chance is a Gemini, which means heās likely to be both clever and spirited. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
