About Jax
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Jax is a silly but shy guy who has endured more than his share of hardship, having been rescued from a challenging hoarding situation in Alabama. In his previous life, he stayed outside with many other dogs, confined in crowded kennels surrounded by clutter, fighting for food, water, and going without proper medical care. Such experiences left Jax under-socialized, but he's shown remarkable resilience and a willingness to trust people, even when they make him a bit nervous at times! Jax is most comfortable in a quiet home where any children are older and gentle. He feels happiest around other dogs, finding comfort and confidence from canine friends. With patience and a loving environment, he’s learning that every little step forward counts. His foster family shares how he quickly adapted to living indoors alongside three other dogs and two humans—within a day, he was up on the couch, seeking gentle pets and belly rubs, even showing off his silky ears. Jax adores attention, strolls with his furry friends, and is blossoming into a loving lap dog. While he's still working on perfecting his house manners, with consistency and positive reinforcement, accidents are happening less and less. He just needs someone willing to love him, encourage his progress, and offer the patience he deserves as he continues to grow and thrive. This sweet beagle/lab mix is eager to find his perfect match. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
