Adopted Mistletoe is the sweetest little soul who wants nothing more than to cuddle up with her people and shower them with love. Despite everything she’s been through, she loves with her whole heart. She just wants to belong. This girl is very food motivated and will happily sit at your feet while you cook, just in case a tasty morsel happens to hit the floor. Dinner time and treats are some of her favorite things! Mistletoe gets along well with other dogs after a slow and proper introduction. She would thrive as a cherished companion in a patient, loving home. She understands the concept of going potty outside and, with consistent access to a yard or regular walks, she’ll continue to build confidence and routine quickly. One thing she does not enjoy is being in a crate, after spending most of her life confined and used for breeding, she’s more than ready to leave that behind. Mistletoe would do best with someone who is home often, a work-from-home human, a retiree, or someone with a flexible schedule to help her continue adjusting to the world and all the kindness it has to offer. When she came to us, her intake notes told a story of neglect: * Growths on both hind legs * Wear on her right chest, likely from a tight harness * Degloving her lower jaw * Teeth ground down * Overgrown, curled nails Mistletoe needs a little grace and a little patience as she learns that the world can be soft and safe.
