About Kirk
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Kirk! This handsome 5-year-old Shepherd mix is a bit of a mystery, with an unknown past, but what is clear is he's a playful guy with his own unique presence. Kirk might have once been an outdoor dog, or perhaps he simply doesn't care for being left alone in a yard—his history is a riddle, but you can help make his future bright. Kirk's first encounters can seem a little quirky; he's not the type to immediately seek out attention or cuddles. Still, beneath his bashful exterior is a playful spirit. Give him a little time, and he’ll soon be ready for some fun! He loves going for walks, although the initial leash-up process can make him hesitant—he’s always eager for the adventure ahead. As an independent soul, Kirk is content to relax in a sunny chair all day, enjoying snacks and soaking up the rays. He needs a little time to get comfortable with new people, so patience and understanding are important. Even after warming up, it may take some time before Kirk welcomes petting. With a gentle, considerate approach, Kirk’s distinct personality will shine and you'll discover a loyal friend in this one-of-a-kind companion. Fun fact: With a birthday on September 12, Kirk is a Virgo—a sign known for being observant, loyal, and independent! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
