Very people friendly! No reaction to kitties. loves kids, and hasn't shown any reactivity to other dogs. 2- ENERGY LEVEL? This athletic boy is high energy (rates at a healthy 8 out of 10). Wolfie enjoys activity, living life and joyful play.. 3- AFFECTIONATE? Yes, Wolfie loves kisses, hugs and snuggles. He is a big baby & absorbs it all! 4- GENTLE? This sweetheart takes treats gently. (even high value treats)! 5- SMART? Yes, he is! Very smart given he has spent a good bit of his life isolated in a kennel. He SITS on command without training, and is In tuned to communication. 6- BRAVE? PROTECTIVE? We imagine so, but there hasn't been any opportunity for him to show us either way. 7- WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HIM? Everyone loves his looks. He is both gorgeous and unique looking. His coloring as very coyote-ish. 8- WHAT DOES HE LIKE? DISLIKE? Wolfie loves life (which includes treats, walks, adventures, and attention). Walks/adventures over treats any day (even though he is very food motivated)! And like your standard husky, he isn't thrilled about being couped up. 9- WHAT MAKES HIM UNIQUE? His look is very unique, and he resembles a coyote. Additionally he is fairly independent, and somehow finds ways to make you laugh. 10- HOUSE-TRAINED? CRATE-TRAINED? In his 5x10 kennel, he keeps clean. He is not messy. For this reason, we believe with consistent structure to his day, he would learn fast, 11- STORM Or SEPARATION ANXIETY? BEHAVIORAL ISSUES? None at all. 12- HOW DOES WOLFIE WALK ON LEASH? Initially he is excited, and wants to smell all over the place. And once he has his fill, he will then follow instruction, and he isn't much of a puller. 13- HOW IS HE IN THE CAR? Wolfie is well-behaved, with no issues. 14- HIGH FOOD DRIVE? Hahaha! Wolfie's mantra is NO CRUMB LEFT BEHIND. This boy LOOOVESSSS FOOD. 15- PREY DRIVE? Probably standard. We have not seen anything crazy or unusual. . 16- WHAT AREAS COULD HE IMPROVE UPON? Wolfie has never been in a house, so just becoming familiar with being inside would be something new for him. We imagine he would require slow intro initially, and would soon adjust well. 17- ANY POSSIBLE HEALTH CONCERNS? None. 18- IDEAL HOME/IDEAL LIFE? Wolfie would do well with an active family, or just a person/couple who enjoys activities like hiking. Someone eager to engage with him. 19- WHAT IS THE BLEEDING HEART SOCIETY? The Bleeding Heart Society refers to the dogs who were not just abandoned by their people, but also by the rescues who promised to save them. Many of them have been abandoned for years (and some their entire lives), in boarding facilities without anyone to advocate for them. THESE DOGS ARE JUST AS ADOPTABLE AS THE PUPS WE HAVE HAVE IN FOSTER HOMES. In most cases they were NOT abandoned because of behavioral or health issues. They are wonderful dogs who have simply been forgotten. These pups are living a life sentence they do not deserve. They are merely existing day in and day out with very limited freedom, joy or companionship. In an effort for our hearts to bleed no more, we are initiating a separate effort to promote these specific pups to those who would like to join us on this mission of restoring their destiny to be in a stable home, to live a life worth living, and to love people worth loving. Only a select number of our dogs are classified under THE BLEEDING HEART SOCIETY.
