Meet Gigi! Gigi may be a little shy and timid when you first meet her, but give her a bit of time and you’ll see her true personality shine. This sweet girl is slowly learning how to “be a dog,” and she celebrates small wins every single day. She wants to trust, she wants to play, and she has even had the zoomies a few times! Once she starts to feel comfortable, Gigi’s goofy side comes out in the best way. She has the biggest personality and loves to sit up on her back legs, batting her paws in the air like a tiny performer putting on a show. It’s impossible not to smile around her. She is completely obsessed with butt scratches and ear rubs and has quickly become the most lovable, silly little girl. In a home setting, Gigi settled in beautifully and was mostly potty trained. She is incredibly sweet and very submissive with humans. She truly enjoys being close to her people and bonds quickly once she feels safe. Gigi would thrive with an adopter who has the time, patience, and heart to let her continue learning in a safe and supportive space. She is food motivated and has already made wonderful progress. She does great on a bathroom schedule and can use potty pads, too. On walks, she is curious and does best on a leash with a harness. She will also need continued crate training. With other dogs, Gigi is still figuring things out. She has done fine in a home with other dogs but can sometimes try to be a little bossy, especially with smaller dogs. Slow introductions and clear structure will help set her up for success, and she may also do well as the only dog where she can soak up all the attention. At her core, Gigi is a very sweet and curious girl who truly wants to be a dog. She just needs someone to continue guiding her and helping her grow.
