About Malone

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Malone: a distinguished gentleman, professional napper, and part-time grump. This very handsome senior is searching for a special home where someone will treasure his strong opinions and, quite possibly, his excellent eyebrows. Malone is unique, sporting a few quirks that add to his charm, and anyone willing to get to know him will find their heart quietly stolen. As a senior, Malone doesn't see or hear very well, so he prefers a calm environment without surprises. When startled or unsure, he might give a quick snap, politely expressing his need for personal space. He skips face touches, but absolutely loves head and back scratches—and rewards your efforts with a happy, grumbly noise (it’s pure contentment, even if it sounds a bit cranky!). Bathing is easy, and he's fine being picked up as long as you’re gentle and communicative. Once he learns his surroundings, he navigates confidently—he’s even mastered going up stairs! Malone delights in being close by, supervising daily household goings-on, and enjoys relaxing in his kennel with the door open for meals and a well-deserved nap. He does best in homes without children, as he prefers fewer surprises. Malone gets along well with other dogs who are respectful of his boundaries and is currently living companionably with dog-savvy cats. Everyone gets along, thanks to mutual respect and Malone’s easy-going attitude. At night, he sleeps quietly on his dog bed. Walks are a favorite—just leisurely ones these days—and he adores sniffing, exploring the yard, and finding just the right place to take care of business. Though he may be a little quirky and particular, Malone is deeply loyal and has a quiet, endearing presence. If you’re seeking a sweet senior companion with lots of personality and well-defined boundaries, Malone could be the perfect fit! Fun fact: With a birthday on December 15, Malone is a Sagittarius—a sun sign known for its adventurous spirit and love of exploring life’s comforts. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
