About Thaddeus

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Foster or forever home wanted—meet Thaddeus. If only dogs could talk, Thaddeus would have quite the story to share. Found wandering the streets and brought into the shelter after being hit by a car, Thaddeus arrived with no identification and visible signs of neglect. Despite this rough start, his quiet spirit and gentle nature shone through; during his exam, he received the highest possible behavior score—even while weak and underweight, with his ribs and spine painfully visible. Through his time in the shelter, Thaddeus remained calm and easy-going. In playgroups, he was collared easily and entered the yard with a soft, relaxed demeanor. Initially a little timid with unfamiliar dogs, he quickly showed tolerance and warmed up, preferring a dainty, gentle play style, and often seeking affection from the handlers. Thaddeus has been described as social, non-reactive, and simply wonderful to be around. Since his recent arrival at the rescue, he's been receiving extra feedings and is steadily gaining much-needed weight. It's incredibly rewarding to see a dog like Thaddeus transform from neglected stray into a loving and grateful companion. There's still more to learn about this sweet soul, and his story will be updated as he settles in. Ready to help Thaddeus continue his journey toward a happier future?
