Thaddeus, a 4–6-year-old Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix, is a textbook example of resilience. After surviving a long time on the street, he arrived at the shelter emaciated and in rough shape, but despite the hardships, he still offered nothing but sweetness — earning the highest possible behavior score during his vet exam. Now safe in a foster home in San Diego, he’s filling out both physically and emotionally every day, thanks to a patient foster family and some helpful canine buddies.
