About Walker

Meet Walker, a resilient and cheerful pup whose time in a rural shelter never dampened his bright spirit. Now enjoying life in a foster home, Walker shows just how loving, playful, and loyal he can be. At night, he happily sleeps in his crate and on weekends, he'll happily snooze as long as you let him. He's in the process of mastering house training and makes use of puppy pads. His love for fetch is matched only by his affection for tennis balls and toys, and he gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. Walker lives with children ages 8 and 11 and is very kid-friendly. He also does well with cats, though his play style can be a little rough, so supervision with a dog-experienced cat is best. He’s never shown aggression or resource guarding, but he's still learning how to play appropriately. Walker's motivation for treats makes him a quick study at new skills. Leash manners are a work in progress—he’s eager and sometimes excitable, but he just needs guidance. Expect Walker to grow into a small to medium dog; he currently weighs around 25 lbs. He’s happiest with room to run and would thrive with a playful dog companion. Walker isn’t suited to apartment living due to his high-pitched bark. When he’s tired, he lets out funny groans and stretches that are sure to make you smile. This affectionate, joyful boy is ready to bring endless happiness to his future family.
