About Roo

Click apply to start the adoption process. Roo arrived after being part of an accidental litter and spent his early months with very little human interaction, which has contributed to his extreme timidity and shyness around new people. He has been attending daycare and training at a San Antonio facility, where he's made small but meaningful strides in confidence, though he remains cautious with strangers. Roo delights in the company of other dogs and shines when playing with canine friends. He currently takes daily anti-anxiety medication from the vet to help him feel safer as he navigates his new world. Once Roo feels at ease, his playful and affectionate nature emerges—he turns into a sweet cuddle bug who loves companionship. He is almost fully house trained (using potty pads) and could benefit from additional encouragement with leash walking. Roo is looking for a patient family willing to let him set the pace as he learns to trust people. He needs understanding adopters committed to giving him the time and gentle training he requires to blossom at his own speed. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
