Meet Kahlua Kahlua is a Chihuahua mix puppy born 11/27/25 and one of the males in the litter. Kahlua is the most cautious and vocal of the group. When unsure, he communicates with growling, which is his way of asking for space rather than true aggression. He needs a little extra time to trust new people, but once he feels safe he relaxes and interacts normally. He plays well with his siblings and participates in all normal puppy activities. He came into rescue with his siblings and his mother Brandy after they were saved from a hoarding situation involving more than 30 Chihuahuas. He spent his early weeks receiving daily human interaction in foster care and is now at our Van Nuys rescue. He is expected to remain a small dog and will receive full vetting including vaccinations, microchip, and neuter when age appropriate. Kahlua will need a patient adopter who allows him to warm up at his own pace and understands that some small dogs need a slower introduction to new people. He would do best in a calm home without large dogs and with adopters willing to build his confidence gradually.
